Co-hosted by the European Film Agency Directors (EFAD) and the Asian Film Alliance Network (AFAN) at the Commerzbank Haus, this strategic workshop gathered film agencies, audiovisual professionals, and academic experts to reflect on the role of public funding in film circulation. The session focused on how public policy can better support the international visibility and audience reach of films supported by screen agencies.

The Asian Film Alliance Network (AFAN) strategically aligned its presence at the 2026 Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival with the festival’s special Focus on Southeast Asian (SEA) cinema. This regional spotlight was utilized to showcase the vibrant storytelling of the region while advancing AFAN's broader mission in networking and talent development across Asia.

Asian Contents and Film Market (ACFM) 2025 in partnership with the Asian Film Alliance Network (AFAN), presented the inaugural “A SUMMIT”. The summit gathered the various Asian film agencies and associated government agencies and presented vital information & data from reports, surveys and other papers commissioned, published or presented in recent times. The event resulted in a deeper and more structured overview of the film markets in the region and encouraged more industry professionals to seek closer collaboration through better understanding.
